About CABWC: The Vision
Since 2020, Courageous Access has been an uncompromised sanctuary for Black women—advancing safety, whole-person health, and true economic mobility.
Since we have been an official 501c3 in Dec 2021, our mission has been funded annually every single year by one of the most widely trusted worldwide funders you know: United Way. They have put a cumulative $75K into our work because we get results. See our other Foundational Funders that together total nearly $100K through the years.
In annual post-program surveys since 2020, 80% of cohort participants self-reported avoiding future predatory intimate-partner relationships, with many also recognizing predatory dynamics in workplaces, churches, families, and friendships — extending, in their own words, far beyond romantic relationships.
Now, we are bringing this essential work to a national stage. The Courageous Access Black Women’s Conference (CABWC) is an immersive, overnight weekend experience in downtown Chicago designed for your complete restoration, reconnection, and transformation.

This conference is not an experiment. It is the next-level container for a healing model that has been working on the ground for five years. From our roots in Iowa to communities spanning over 25 states—including Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Alabama, and New York—Courageous Access has been actively changing lives.

Clinical & Cultural Connection: Connected hundreds of Black women with culturally aligned therapists and critical wellness resources.

Measurable Restoration: In annual post-program surveys since 2020, 80% of cohort participants successfully avoided future predatory intimate-partner relationships, while expanding their awareness to disrupt predatory dynamics in workplaces, churches, families, and friendships. Crucially, 80% of the Black women participating in our intensive cohort spaces break cycles of survival mode entirely—showing self-reported improvements in emotional balance, mental health, chronic or life-threatening health conditions, and long-term economic growth.

Survivor-Centered Care: Provided direct safety planning, clothing, and restorative support for survivors of domestic and financial abuse.

Generational Healing: Pioneered youth programming centered on healthy relationships, nutrition, and foundational emotional literacy.
Why This Room is Urgent
Across the United States, professional Black women are disproportionately impacted by chronic health disparities, systemic burnout, and the exhausting weight of carrying everyone else's burdens. Yet, the very systems that depend on your leadership rarely invest in your rest. We built this room because your heritage is the only foundation strong enough to hold your legacy. We are gathering 100 Black women leaders, corporate professionals, and clinical practitioners in a completely protected, upscale environment to give you the real-world tools needed to live longer, healthier, and entirely on your own terms.
